This policy explains how PSX Expert ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use this website. The core site — market data, guides, model readings and tools — is free and supported by advertising; optional paid plans add portfolio tools and an ad-free view. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice. Read it with our Cookie Policy, Terms of Service and Disclaimer.

1. Who we are

The data controller responsible for your personal data is set out below. The site is operated from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

2. What we collect

Account data. If you register: your name, email address and a hashed password (never stored in plain text), your plan, and two-factor settings if you turn them on.
Data you enter in your workspace. Watchlists, price alerts, portfolios and their transactions, notes, and any broker statements you upload or forward for import. This is used only to provide those features. It is never used for advertising and never passed to an ad network; the signed-in workspace shows no ads at all.
Payment data. If you buy a plan: see section 6.
Visit records. Our own server records each page view: the page and the referring page, a session identifier, a shortened form of your IP address (the last part is removed before it is stored: IPv4 to /24, IPv6 to /48), your browser and device type, the time, and whether the request looks automated. We use this to count traffic, keep the site working and stop abuse. Visit records are deleted automatically after 90 days. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service.
Messages. If you contact us: your name, email address and what you write, so we can reply and keep a record of the correspondence.

The market data on this site comes from the Pakistan Stock Exchange and MUFAP and is not personal data about you. We do not knowingly collect special-category (sensitive) data; please do not send it to us.

3. How we use it, and on what legal basis

To provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract): your account, workspace features, plan and support.
To run and protect the site (legitimate interests): security, fraud and abuse prevention, debugging and traffic statistics.
To show and measure advertising (consent where the law requires it, otherwise legitimate interests): see section 5.
To meet legal obligations: tax and accounting records for payments, and lawful requests from authorities.

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before.

4. Cookies and consent

We and our advertising partner use cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies. Our own are strictly necessary or remember a preference: the session and security (XSRF) cookies, and your theme and sidebar choices kept in your browser's local storage. Advertising cookies are set by Google.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message — a consent management platform certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework — before personalised advertising is used. You can consent, decline, or choose by purpose and by vendor, and change your mind at any time from the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which do not use your personal data for personalisation. Your choice is stored by Google in a cookie on this site. Visitors elsewhere can use the opt-outs in section 5 and their browser settings. The details are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Google AdSense and advertising

The site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC, to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. These cookies and web beacons may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, browsing activity and ad interactions in order to serve, personalise and measure ads; third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser for this purpose.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices, and, in the EU/EEA, www.youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less tailored to you.

Google's use of these cookies is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not pass anything you enter in your workspace — portfolios, transactions, statements — to Google or any other ad network. Readers on an ad-free plan are not shown ads.

6. Payments

If you buy a plan we keep: the plan and billing period, the amount, any discount code, a payment reference, the payer name and transaction ID you give us, the receipt or screenshot you upload as proof of a bank transfer or mobile-wallet payment, the IP address the payment was made from, and the invoice we issue (with the billing details shown on it). We use these to activate your plan, prevent fraud and keep the accounting records the law requires.

If card payments are offered through a hosted payment provider, you enter your card details on that provider's page; they never reach our servers, and we receive only the confirmation of the payment. Refunds and cancellations are covered by our refund policy.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Google, as the advertising provider described in section 5.
Service providers who host the site and deliver our email, under terms that limit them to providing that service — and, if enabled, a hosted payment provider for card payments.
Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of PSX Expert, our users or the public.
A successor, if the business is sold or reorganised, who must honour this policy or tell you of any change.

Under California law, the use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; you can opt out as described in section 5.

8. International transfers

We operate from Pakistan, and our providers — including Google — may process data in other countries, such as the United States. Where we transfer the personal data of people in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. 9. How long we keep it

Account and workspace data: while your account is open. You can export it, or delete your account and its data, from Account settings at any time.
Payment records and invoices: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
Visit records: for as long as they are useful for traffic statistics and abuse prevention.
Messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and keep a record of it.
Advertising data: under Google's own retention settings.

10. Security

We use HTTPS for every page, hash passwords, offer two-factor authentication, restrict access to personal data, and review our practices. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to put your rights at risk we will tell you and the relevant authority where the law requires.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
have it corrected, or deleted ("right to be forgotten");
restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
receive it in a portable, machine-readable format;
withdraw consent at any time, including from the footer's "Privacy & cookie settings" link;
in California: know, delete and correct personal information, opt out of its sale or sharing, and not be treated differently for using these rights;
complain to your data-protection authority.

To use any of these rights, contact us at support@psxexpert.com or through our contact page. We will verify your identity and respond within one month, or within the time your local law allows. Most requests are free.

12. Children

The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 (or a higher age where local law sets one). If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Third-party links

We link to sites we do not run — the PSX data portal, MUFAP, company filings and advertisers. Their privacy practices are their own; read their policies before giving them personal data.

14. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top, and for a material change we say so on the site. The version on this page is the one that applies.
